Flashed bios and now mobo won't post. Help please!

I flashed my bios as a last resort to a series of problems that began with a trashed cdrw drive.
when i plugged the bad cdrw into the system as a slave, it caused both ide channels to not be recognized by bios. After that, something crashed my boot sector on my hdd and I was not able to boot up.

After clearing bios and trying to reboot did not work, I then tried to reflash bios. That really did it. Now it won't post.

Anyone know of a remedy to this situation? This is an Abit SE6 mobo that was doing great until this stunt.
(lesson learned: don't plug known bad hardware into a know good system that you are relying on).

I'm not sure if this will work on your motherboard but it did on mine when I had a bad flash.

Hold down the Insert Key when you turn the power on. You may have to do this a few times to get a post.
This key is used to reset the configuration to the bios.

I also removed the battery the night before and then replaced it the next morning before I tried this process.
