I flashed my bios as a last resort to a series of problems that began with a trashed cdrw drive.
when i plugged the bad cdrw into the system as a slave, it caused both ide channels to not be recognized by bios. After that, something crashed my boot sector on my hdd and I was not able to boot up.
After clearing bios and trying to reboot did not work, I then tried to reflash bios. That really did it. Now it won't post.
Anyone know of a remedy to this situation? This is an Abit SE6 mobo that was doing great until this stunt.
(lesson learned: don't plug known bad hardware into a know good system that you are relying on).
