Flashed BIOS and now it doesn't even boot up...

were you trying to change the EPA Energy Star logo ????

Dont konw what to do though, was just curious how you did it

I have CUV4X motherboard which updates its BIOS through internet.
It is called AutoUpdate and when I tried to get the new BIOS it Flashed BIOS ok but it couldn't Verify the BIOS at the third step of Flashing.
I thought there was something wrong with AutoUpdate program, so I installed it again and it asked for the reboot.
I rebooted comp. and it is dead... I think when AutoUpdate flashed BIOS, there was something wrong and never got recovered. What should I do? I don't have Floppy access from the computer since it doesn't even boot up...

I tried to look it up on asus.com, but their website was hacked a couple of days ago. I doesn't look like it's back up yet. You'll have to look in the manual that came with your motherboard. It will tell you how to reset CMOS. It's a jumper on your motherboard.

I reset my CMOS and now I can see CMOS screen...
I changed everything back to original but when I save and exit, it still doesn't boot up...
no screen at all...

you may need to just order a new bios chip.. sounds like it could be dead. I recommend badflash.com they will fix your bios for you and its really cheap and fast. I used them for my Iopener a while back.

You need to get on the internet and Download the lastest BIOS AND instructions for flashing your Motherboard. You should beable to find a file you can download NOT a BIOS auto update like before. Save it to a floppy drive. Then go back home place the floppy in to your drive and flash your board. Reboot and work from there.

I think BuckMaster may be right, it sounds like might still be able to save your bios. just reset the cmos again and boot from a floppy. don't worry about changing any bios settings unless the floppy won't boot.

Thank you all for replying...
Unfortunately, even with clearing BIOS, I never got to boot from Floppy drive...
I sent to retailer and they said they will send it on Monday to get the new BIOS chip set and return it to me by Tuesday... ANd it will cost me CAD $35...
Oh well... I am not using AutoUpdate again...

Tahnk you again~
