link - this affects the player itself which is typically a plugin to web browsers as well as a standalone on your machine. Update to version 7,0,19,0.

What version do I currently have ?

EDIT>> If the last link doesn't load any content for you other than the yellow background, it means you don't even have the older Flash 5 plugin installed on your browser. In that case, don't worry about this vulnerability (but check with all browsers installed).

But now everyone in ATOT will just skip down ~10 threads to the first refreshing thread instead of seeing this. 😉

In IE, it installs online. In Netscape, it gave me a file to download and run.

It will probably do the same thing in Opera. I know it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. Not sure I want to know what happens when she decides to Flash the viewers. :Q 😉
 
I'm still on version 5 but I hate upgrading because I hate some of those new ads that float around your screen!

They'll probably appear regardless. Version 5 player is very basic and if the developers were smart (and didn't need any new MX features, they would've created it to show up with even v5. Best to upgrade/patch if you already had any version.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If it wasn't for my weekly addition to Homestar Runner, I would uninstall Flash from my system completely. Those new Flash intro ads are even more annoying than pop-ups.
