well, it's not as good as scorched earth--I liked getting money to purchase weapons, so not everything was available in the beginning.

If the levels and ranks meant something--like I could actually upgrade my tank, then I'd stick around with this.

still fun, but not as good as it could be. :\

I checked out scorched earth and I think this one is much more modern. And yes, you can upgrade your tank. You can get a cooler looking one and paint it different colors.

that's not an upgrade. it's just skin.

this is more modern only in look. Scorched earth had more levels of complexity and skill.

there's no real incentive to keep going, so addiction factor is weak on this one.

at the very least, you should be able to accumulate money and be able to purchase ammo. You could specialize in the type of weapons that you prefer. I don't think that would make it unbalanced.

Also, since they seem to have "ranks," why not just have instant rank matching and add in upgrades (armor, ammo stock, whatever)? That way, you expect to have the same relative improvements with others in your rank class, and of course you're restricted to playing people in the same rank tier.

What I find addictive about it is picking the right weapon, aiming properly, accounting for wind and iniatiative of other players. Then forming alliances and breaking them at will! D:

In the meantime here are my stats (I suck):

I found that how well I do depends on the time of day. Early evening, I get my butt kicked. Late late at night, I win 90% of the games.

Are you registered or playing as a guest? I run into waffleironhead every once in a while. We cooperate....then I kill him. :)
