Don't you mean Flash 8?

Anyway, I'll switch to Gnash as soon as it's ready.

It would be nice if they took the opportunity to port the damn thing to AMD64, but they've already said they have no foreseeable plans to do that. Irritating...

Nope. Flash 9.

Adobe was working on Flash 8.5 support for Linux for a while, but decided just to skip support for 8 altogether and release 9 support ASAP. Since it's backward compatable it works out.

Anyway, I'll switch to Gnash as soon as it's ready.
That would be preferable. ;)

I will switch to gnash as soon as its ready too. This lack of proper attention for linux builds is highly annoying. We need an open-source alternative asap..

Now if only we had 64bit support and shockwave support. Hell 64bit support for windows would be good too.
