I was previously using Ubuntu 8.04 and everything was working.
Did a clean install of Ubuntu 9.04.
Installed opera 9.64 build 2480. Installed flash 10,0,22,87.
Flash works in FF.
Flash does not work in Opera. There's a white box where the video should be on youtube. When i went to the adobe flash test page, it tells me i'm missing the plugin.
My operalugins page sees the flash plugin.
application/futuresplashspl
application/x-shockwave-flashswf
/usr/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so
Plugin options only detected one flash plugin, at the path listed above. i've tried reinstalling opera and flash and changing the plugin path and using symlinks. no other flash plugin is installed.
32 bit Ubuntu, 32 bit flash plugin.
Why is it working fine for FF but not for Opera?
ubuntuforums and opera forums have been unsucessful so far.
Thanks

when running opera from a terminal, i get
a quick search suggests that with flash 10, Adobe forced the browser to use GTK window and containers to load a swf file in Linux. still cant find a solution though.
