My friends and I do lit 151 all the time. Fortunately we have half a brain and a) blow out the shot before you drink, and b) don't pour it into our open mouths from 6 inches in the air.

Sorry if it's a repost, searched and didn't find anything.
 
A friend of mine did that many years ago. He did a flaming shot and some spilled on his cheek and he was so drunk he didn't even feel it for a couple of seconds.

He had a tough time explaining to his wife why he had a huge blister on the side of his face when he got home the next day.

The first time I tried this I was too slow with the straw and inserted the straw too slowly, allowing the fire to melt the end.

Got it right the second time...boy did it burn.
