Refurbished = no accessories, namely, no backplate.

And with Soltek having closed US offices, good luck trying to buy one... just something to think about before you plop down the thirty bucks.

BACKPLATE: You could always buy a 3rd party heatsink that requires it's own backplate and it would still be a good deal!

Yea I run a Mobile 2500+ @ 2.4 and I don't know if a Sempron running at around 2.4 would be any quicker. I've heard of people getting the 2600+ and 2800+ to that speed, but will it be faster then the Barton since it starts a lower speed I would think so. 2600+ Sempron runs at 1.6 and 2500+ Barton runs at 1.8. So I would think the Sempron @ 2.4 would be quicker, same with at 2.2

Anyone else know?

This Link makes it look pretty good if you overclock a sempron to 2.5 gig.

but I would still like some conformation from some one here. :)

Would this be a better board than a ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe?

I got this board with a combo a while back not the best but it's been solid. Would the Soltek Nforce3 250 board offer more overclocking ability or any other benefits over the K8V-SE?

It seems most of the info is from '04, but there is some good stuff HERE

"Hi All!

I have finaly changed my mobo (ASUS K8V Dlx) with the K8AN2E-GR! The system is a little faster now, but the CPU will not OC more than 220MHz HT! It's the CPU I presume. After all it is a ClawHammer rev C0. One problem that I had with the ASUS K8V Dlx is now gone and I think that I'll keep the Soltek.
BTW I have removed the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) from the CPU and now according to the readings the CPU Temp will no go higher than 40C. I'll post a picture of the CPU When I get home and DL it form the Cam.
If someone knows of a BIOS that have 1,9V VDIMM please tell me! "
