FLAMING HOT!!! Soltek Nforce3 250 board (refurb)

I have this board. It works OK. (bought it last year)

The overclocking sucked until the most recent bios. Now it is decent. You never could change the memory timings before.

Still can never turn it on with the keyboard like I should be able .

Did it appear to be used? I usually look for factory sealed antistatic motherboard bag and check for evidence of solder smearing around the screw mount holes.

I have ordered three Soltek reburb MBs from NE in the past year and two of them appeared to have been new/never used in retail box with all accessories.

Mine arrived today also, looked and SMELLED brand new like it just came out of the factory. Probably the best $30 I've spent this month. Also invested on a palermo sempron for $100 and $130 6800le. great budget machine

It looked new. Stickers where taped over the cpu, ram, agp, pci sockets. All of the accessories were unopened.

However IDE slot 2 does not work. No big deal I just installed an extra ide controller pci card I had around and it's works fine now. I figure it's not worth to send it back since the price is so low and I might get something that is worse.

arrived yesterday and looks new with all the cables and bracket. now waiting the the sempron64 2800+ to arrive. $105 for motherboard and processor - 64 BITS - here I come!

Would this board and the 64bit 2600+ sempron be a nice upgrade from a non overclocked barton 2500+? I have a gig of memory and a 9700 AIW and use it most for gaming.

I purchased Soltek NForce2 Ultra400 refurb, which came with all accessories. Chances are quite high that it will come with accessories.

EDIT: I purchased it at chiefvalue. Great experience.

I'm very tempted even though I have no use for it right now. I'd hate to buy it and have it just sit around a few months (or longer), and then not work when I tried to boot up the first time.

Even so, $30 is hard to resist.......

hmm mine did't work either......so right now im using my old board now. ill try it again tomorrow to see if it works right

Correct. Only socket 939 supports dual channel.

Thanks op I had to do it to have as a spare and in looking bought my wife the toaster convection oven with rot for $35 shipped.

mine came, seemed pretty close to new, however the FIRST IDE connector isn't working (IDE0), i'm e-mailing with Soltek tech support.

I unfortunately do not an IDE add-in card, so I can't get much further then this.

Anyone else having IDE problems with these refurb boards?
