Aren't these sandwiches actually rebadged McDonalds McChicken sandwiches?

I think you can use the McDonalds firmware (special sauce) and flash these babies... But it voids the warranty...
 
On a serious note: Interestingly enough, PETA has just released a video showing the slaughterhouses where Burger King is receiving their stock of animals from. It was in the news during lunch today. Of course, it shows animal cruelty and abuse.

So, PETA is calling for a national boycott of BK until they can show they are ethically and humanely slaughtering the livestock. (At least I gather that is what they are asking for the public to do--I don't think anyone will become a vegetarian just because of this).

I know most of the stores are out of stock on this item, but I have called the corporate office and they have agreed to sell them to me in quanities of 1000. I am in for 50. If anyone wants in on this group buy PM me. We will need 19 more people at 50 each. The shipping will be free, and I believe we can get a rebate with each one for a small fry. He hinted about the rebate on the phone, so when I call him back with the order I will make sure to get the free small fry rebates. We need to get in on this quick, I only have 3 hours to get back to him.

They are OUT online so had to go to a B&M store. Went ahead and ordered 10 and while waiting in the parking lot, a CSR came out w/ my bag. Running after her was the manager that proceeded to take the bag of my hand claiming that the Item was being recalled, "Due to having Genetically Manufactured Beef"!

Aren't these just rebadged plextors? I heard that you can flash the bios to make it think that it is a plextor! Also, does it really have BURNPROOF!

Just a heads up - my friend's family (Four adults) all got food poisoning from ordering chicken sandwiches at BK. I guess that sorta thing would tend to happen if you're making a crapload of meat to sell for 99 cents.

'course I picked up two the other day and they tasted fine to me and my stomach didn't complain. 🙂

BEWARE!!! Burger King is replacing their chicken sandwiches with imitation chicken meat due to the recent demands... The exact content of the imitation chicken meat is unknown at this current time.

With all the bad press BK is getting for their "manufacturing" process they are re-engineering their chicken sandwiches with mystery meat!

Make sure that you ask for the BK Chicken Sandwich 1.0 Rev 2b!

If they don't have it or act like they don't know what you're talking about - talk to the manager and don't accept anything newer than Rev. 3f!
 
That damn cashier at OD B&M refused to 155% pricematch this sandwich against a copy of Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer game. Finally I made him call in the store manager and they finally gave in after calling to verify quantity in stock. Got it for free. Cool, now I'm going to hit every OD in Denver and get more.
 
Beware! I heard a rumour that BK is trying get rid of these sandwiches because they are possibly contaminated with Salmonella. Use at your own risk. In the end, may be you will get what you pay for. Check out the CNET article here (link removed.) Contact a physician immediately if you develop any abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, or dehydration. They should have a disclaimer on the wrapping of these babies.

Sheesh....I cant believe this thread is not locked yet.

Anand User McDonald agreed to send me 2 chicken sandwiches in trade for 2 big macs. I sent the big macs by certified mail 1 week ago and I have not gotten the chicken sandwiches from him.
 
McDonald did the same thing to me... He said he was hungry and he needed the chicken sandwiches, immediately. He apologized and refunding the chicken sandwich to everyone that participated with his trades (however, the refunded chicken sandwiches might NOT be in PERFECT form...) :disgust:
 
Disclaimer: No one likes a good hamburger more than me, and I don't at all agree with most of PETA's philosophies (e.g., they would like to stop all animal research, etc - but let's not get TOO far off topic).

After reading dman6666's post above, I followed a few links and eventually wound up on a news site called King5, which as far as I can tell has absolutely nothing to do with Burger King. They had links to videos of hidden camera footage shot by a slaughterhouse worker. I have a pretty thick skin, but I was really taken aback by what it showed; cows being hung up on chains by one hind leg, while fully conscious, scrambling with their front feet to try to reach the ground, until they reach the "leg removal" station where their legs are removed while they are fully conscious and unsedated. This almost made me heave. In another part of the video, they showed a cow being deliberately, cruelly, maliciously tortured with an electric prod to the point of having it shoved into its mouth.

I'll reiterate, I am no bunny hugger and I'm not calling for a nationwide letter-to-your-senator campaign, but I do think people should be aware of this. Here is the link to the news page if anyone wants to see the videos.

I've really enjoyed this humorous thread, and I apologize if this ruins it for anyone. But this seems important to me.

The moms over at MyCoupons finally got wind of this. They called up a CSR at BK who found out about the pricing mistake and is fixing it. Looks like another deal killed thanks to the ladies.
