How can you even think there will be a better deal than a 19" LCD of this quality will be cheaper than $449.00 shipped ....Thats nuts to even speculate..*!*
That would be like Any other Retailer selling 19" LCDs for $410 or $415 + $30 shipping .....I say NO WAY*!* For 1 Dell did not want the aditional $40 off to Fly in the first place... I can see losses on this like the 400SC 3.2 Deallio..

Why my order for 1800FP shows as "In Production"?
It won't be ready to prepare for shipping until 23rd.
I can't believe that I'll receive a monitor that manufacture date is less a week earlier than I receive it. It's really brand NEW!!! :)

1 x dell 1901

I ordered one the day before without the $40 coupon, and it shipped out of hapeville GA, which is near hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, which is about 30 miles from me. Took 2 days since ordering to get here.

Does anyone know how to put the 1901 in portrait mode. I can't find any software to allow it. I got a ATI radeon 7500 AIW.

Thanks,
KK

Really? You might get it sooner though... I ordered an 1800fp on 09/12. It showed up on 09/16. (Expected ship date of 09/18 in my order confirmation.) Go figure... :)

cheers,
Gabe

First of all this deal died last night, so it's a DEAD DEAL.

There were 3 coupons involved:

1) $40 off $450 coupon code which you can easily find thanks to Mr. Google

2) 20% off automatic discount on Dell LCD's (expired)

3) 10% off coupon e-mailed to subscribers of Dell's newsletter (expires 9/19)

I hope that answers your question.

Has anybody figured out how Dell decides who gets emailed a 10% off coupon? Several members of my family, myself and friends have all ordered through SB and Home and we have never received a coupon. We look through every email and every catalog and come up wanting. Sheehs, the last 3 systems my dad has bought have all been from Dell. I guess they figure they already have him as a customer and he doesn't need any coupons.

Beats me. I've gotten some through rocketmail, though not lately. I got 10% off coupons this week at ngc.com and compuserve.com addressed. Haven't gotten any through my bellsouth.net address, which I have used to place actual orders with!!

Cheers,

First off, DO NOT hit submit again if it doesn't appear to work the first time. It almost always does. Check the thread and see if your message is there and if not, then repost. Second, S/P just refers to the Software and peripherals section on the Dell site.

I just got my 1901fp. Looks great. But I got one problem. Its view angles is very narrow. for horizontal, it is about 90; for vertical, it is about 90 too. Out of that angle, the color get fade-out significantly. Is that normal? has anybody got the same problem?

Thanks, Sri

Well, the spec is good. But the monitor is not that good actually. :(

I am so dissapointed by its narrow view angles. Maybe I will just return it.

Does anybody have the same problem?

You must have it be too dark. I don't have any problems if I fix my gamma settings.

I used to have a 1800FP. The view angles are much better than 1901fp.
