Fixing window alignment/tracking, question and pictures

95 Volvo 850 GLT, passenger side

Do I need to remove that metal sheet to find the tracking device? I'm a bit confused on this whole process and just thought I'd ask here before I spent the time removing it.

I do have this posted on a Volvo forum, but maybe someone here can give a faster response

I assume that the regulator or whatever it rolls along is behind that, and so I tried removing it, but even after taking the screws out, it feels like it's held against by something: http://img69.imageshack.us/my.php?image=24361995fs6.jpg

I don't know if anyone here would have any advice at this point because it seems pretty car specific at this point, but I'll leave this here anyway.
