On craigslist I'd put a posting in the gigs section and the jobs etc section. Title it 'Need help fixing corrupted .mov file' and offer a decent price. In the body of the message just say you have a corrupted mov file and you'd either like it fixed or have as much data as possible extracted. Offer a fair price.

I've never used elance so I guess the engineering section. You could also try the mechanical turk as well. I don't use a lot of subcontracting services so I don't know other sites.

I already have a couple underages under my belt so when the security guard mentioned cops... I realized they had no right to detain and hold me against my will. So I jetted.

Plus whats a fair price for this kind of fix?

Lol at OP now that more details have come out. Drunk, wandering around a shady area of DC, fakes an ID, is put in a back room in a club by guys that are woefully bigger than he is, decides to run. Said guys chase after him and give him a beat-down. OP walks away with a few cuts and bruises and some ripped jeans. OP now whines to AT.

You're fine. I retract my previous post about what the bouncers did being wrong. It may be wrong in a general sense, but now that these details have come out you fricken deserved it; and you didn't get beat up that badly. I've gotten worse injuries while sparring. Shake it off and learn from it.
