Fixing corrupt mov file?

I had a incident in a club at dc which resulted in a nasty series of events with some bouncers in a public street.... My phone recorded the whole incident but the file got corrupted somehow.

I recorded the video with my iphone and it won't play in the video recording app or vlc... anyone have any suggestions as i'm trying to take some sort of legal action.. 50mb of evidence sits on my phone and I want at it!

No... I'm 20 so they marked me under 21 and they saw that I rubbed my x's off but I didn't order a drink or anything... they put me in a back room... then made a little escape attempt and got chased 3 blocks down the road and was tackled and ruffed up (very illegal) they then dragged me by the neck back to the club and a bigger, blacker dude, with a suit walked in the room and picked me up by my back back pockets (ripping my jeans apart) and threw me head first into a metal locker. Now I have cuts bruises and severe pain in my neck from all this.... and I really need to get the video fixed because the bouncers made the mistake of looking at my phone.... so I got their faces and the audio from the entire incident.... if i can't get the data back then I cant don't anything about this.

Yeah what they did was illegal and should be punished, but it's your stupid ass that got you into it. Next time don't rub your x's off and don't make an escape attempt. It was probably the latter that got you that treatment. Might as well have admitted to a crime, and they decided to play cop. You don't always get what you deserve, sometimes you get a little more. You got the latter.

Some clubs will let underage people in but draw an X on their hand/wrist with a sharpie so they can't buy drinks.

did you take pics of urself after of the incident? were their witnesses that saw u on the street, if so, u can still file legal action on them and give the police a positive id

did u file a police report?

Uh, the only thing they can legally do is ask you to leave. They can't physically move you or confine you.

I'd say you don't need a video to prove this. Were there witnesses?

No I was drunk so I didn't want to approach the police, because I was more concerned at the time for my record rather than some cuts, bruises, and a pair of jeans...

Plus they said get out of here ( legal verbal permission to leave) so they had no right to chase me down. Plus I took pictures of all the cuts and damage... No I had at least 7-10 people with me, but they only saw the bouncer take me away and me sitting on a bench on 1st with the damage done to me.

There wasn't much video since the recorder was in my pocket, so theres alot of audio.

you said you took pics after. if you haven't filed a police report by now, it might be too late, maybe they will take the justification that you were drunk and didnt want to call the police

Try FileJuicer or iSquint if you're running OSX.

Mabye AoA. Make sure you try this with a back up of the file and not the original.

Pregamed. Didn't attempt to order anything. Plus I wouldn't have been able to bring anything int the club anyway. They frisk you as you go in... its in a pretty shady area of DC.

AoA didn't work... the file is too corrupted... though on my phone preview panel I can see the first frame of the video... I think its just the footer info thats messed up.... anyone know anyone who can fix this?
