Asked a few other places and go no info, I realize I'm probably out of luck but I have had a broken electronic dart board for a long time, just stopped powering on one day. I liked this dart board a lot and they don't sell this model any more, even so replacing it would be too expensive.

I can unscrew the thing and take a look in there but wouldn't know what to look for. Any guidance at all would be appreciated, I'm sure it works like most electronics. And if no one has any idea that's ok, too!

yeah, get some decent pictures of the guts - especially the power area, both sides of the pcb and maybe someone will see something.

Look for blown power supply diodes, bad caps, check for presence of DC at power supply output, this is of course checking power cord, fuse holder ect. for continuity. You will need a VOM for this but even a cheap one from HF will suffice.

Steel tip, or GTFO

It is steel tip :) One of those hybrid boards. That's why I like it. Automatic electronic scoring is too damned convenient and I can use steel tips on it. Thanks for the advice, will take a HD pic soon and upload it. It's probably a goner but wanted to give fixing it a shot.

Opened it up and looked around and didn't see anything odd looking.

Here's some pics that are quite unlikely to help with any diagnosis:
