It works fine on my machine but it refuses to work on my friends pc, he has a AMD Athlon 1ghz, with 256ram so it should work... Only thing I found was that it doesnt detect in the bios but detects at the black boot up screen. It always fails after 40% but before 50%. Its a khypermedia 8x +R drive flashed to be dual.

your machine is ..? and has the region been set..? Which burning prog(both of you)..? Is this the DX082(Cyberdrive=China) or the DW800A(Malaysia)..? Is this with - or + R(or RW) media and which (atip please)..?
 
We've had too many problems out of the Khypermedia DVD-R's at work, which I found odd because they're all Lite-On drives. They'll work in one system, but not another. Go figure. Just the problem that you're having. (I work in a local PC Shop)
