messing around w/ digital out (coaxial) for my htpc w/ win7 that is on a asus m2r32-mvp m/b w/ a x2 5000, 2GB ram - runs fine except neither dts or dd audio will be passed to my receiver except in the test area for setting up sound. if a movie does pass dd, the receiver will click to accept dd but there is serious stuttering, like a really badly scratch cd playing. this is from original dvds.
anybody else having this issue?
also, what is the current, newest 32bit version of win7 rc? i am running ver7100.
any help would be greatly appreciated as i would like to get dd/dts out of the machine....
also, i can't watch a dvd from either windows media center or windows media player - i get an error stating there is an issue w/ my gpu/tv/monitor etc. i am using original discs, not copies and i am outputing through a x1800xt via a dvi-vga adapter into a vga port on my 40"lcd tv - wtf?
edit - turns out the ms drivers in win7 are ok, at least w/ this setup, it was a setting in vlc in passing the correct audio to my receiver - now switched it to the win32 wave extension out and it passes dd/dts nicely
