Hi,

I just built a computer with the epox 8k3a+ motherboard and everything went fine the first time I turned it on, except that it shows XP1500+ on the technical details black screen when you first turn on the computer on. Does anyone have any suggestions as how to get it to recognize the xp2100? Should I flash the bios with the newest update or is there something easier/quicker?

Thanks,
Michael

You do have you FSB to 133MHz and not 100MHz correct? Just narrowing down the possibilities 😕

There's a jumper near the rear end of the AGP slot marked JCK1. It has three pins, and put the jumper on pins 2-3 for 133MHz CPUs.

First thing i did to my 8k3a, was change the jumper to 133. Most boards come out of the box with 100 set. Just look in the manual for the location of the jumper.
