build quality?/solder quality?
not sure, but physically it looks cheaper to me. didn't they also remove the "cool touch" and replaced with actual plastic buttons on the system?

Meanwhile the new black 360 looks like they updated quality.

The slim is much better, plus I hated the touch buttons.

that's pretty cool, but i don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. a good buddy of mine never uses his ps3, he's not a gamer and just bought one for the bluray. he paid $299 and got a $100 gc from walmart. he said i can just take his for FREE!! and he'll pick up a new bluray player. i'm going to take it off his hands and buy him a kickass player myself :thumbsup: 😎

now i got to find out how i can swap out my 80s singstar songs that i downloaded on the new HDD.

hey man, thanks again for this. i paid $99 and shipped my PS3 to Sony. I didn't think they'd replace it since I had like 12 screws missing when trying to put it back together. Got home today and saw my slim PS3 at the door 🙂 yessss, right before FFXIII-2 comes out.
