Fixed: Nevermind (Thread read indicator not working)

Usually when I have read something on different sites (Craigslist, Reddit, and Anandtech) the font color of the subject line will change color after I have looked at it which makes it easy to tell what I have seen/read and not seen/read yet.
For the last 2-3days this indicator or cookie(?) hasn't worked. I use IE. I haven't updated or changed any security settings that I'm aware of. Since this problem is across several sites; I assume it is something is my browser setting but not sure what.

Thanks

Update: Fixed it by going to IE,Tool, internet options, general, delete browser history on exit. Found a comment (see below) from 2/2010 in the Craigslist forum.

"color is controlled by your browser with basic "a href" tags. Changing the colors of them is an option for the creator of the website, using css (Cascading Style Sheets) but that won't help you. The browser changes the color to purple if the page the link is pointing to, is in your browser's cache. If you clear your cache, then all of them willturn blue again. if you use Firefox go to TOOLS----->INTERNET OPTION------>PRIVACY----->unchecked at CLEAR HISTORY WHEN FIREFOX CLOSE
this may help
