(Fixed) How many times has this happened to you (morning commute highway traffic rant!)

OK, so I am driving into work, no traffic within three miles of me except for two cars ahead nose-to-tail in the right lane (and I'm closing in quickly). I get within 5-10 carlengths of the rear car and they pull out into the passing lane. They then proceed to CREEP ahead of the other car (with a speed difference of about 1/10 of a mile per hour). The complete pass took 4 MILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to slow my cruising speed by 10MPH and wait for these two cars who were blocking the road! GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

If you are gonna pull out to pass...............do it quickly if there is traffic behind you!

People either don't look in their mirrors or just don't care.

They need to get it in the rear.

That's crazy, lol.. Someone had a POS.... Or was just trying really hard to piss you off. Apparently, it worked. 😉

I'm more inclined to believe "don't care" (or just completely oblivious). After 1 mile (it became obvous this pass was going nowhere fast) I flashed the headlights at them a few times. When that didn't work, I applied the "pressure by proximity" approach (stopped short of "using the chrome horn" NASCAR style) 🙂

Yup...happens to me a fair bit....

Over here, drivers are "supposed" to not cause other drives to swerve, slow down or stop.

Yeah, uhm.. I live in Atlanta, so I don't understand what this means.

😀

Can't say that happens very often, BUT I wanted to shoot these two idiots yesterday on the way home from work:

Idiot #1: Repeatedly dodging in and out of lanes to get ahead in 25-35 mph traffic. I swear to god this assmaster almost caused an accident at least once. He cut some guy in front of me off and looked like he just barely missed getting rear-ended.

Idiot #2: Some guy STOPPED in the middle of traffic in order to change lanes and backed up the lane I was in. WTF?

happens all of the time but luckily for me I am from Los Angeles and we have 4-5 lanes freeways so usually I can change lanes if I have to but it seems most people understand if someone is coming up fast on move out of the in a safe manner if you can

I love doing this to people in the passing lane.

Yeah! There's nothing more entertaining than pulling out in the fast lane to clog up the flow of traffic while watching the guy behind you lose his fscking mind in your rear view mirror!
