[FIXED] enabling remote desktop for more than one person at a time

I remember at some point I found this program that would enable access for multiple RDP users at the same time on an XP pro machine, I believe it cost $299 for 3 simultaneous clients

But I can't remember what it was, can anyone help?

Question: What could be so important as to cost $300 for three people, and more importantly, does it really require Windows? I hate to push like this, but it just feels like you're overspending, unless it's really important.

I have a $40k piece of sumulation software that I want to run on the best machine we have, and I'd like others to have access to the physical machine at the same time

(edit: we got our copy for free, nice to be at a college, and apparently the professor doesn't want to buy a new dedicated machine) THe girl that runs the software has had to use a celery 2.0 laptop for it, and it was being herrendously slow for her, so I figured we can hook this up to a nicer machine

Check Ebay for a 5 CAL Windows 2000/2003 server & run Terminal Services. Or here at $325.

Also check with the software manufacture to see if it is TS compatile & it is very likely that you will need 3 license for the software.

Another solution is to purchase new computer with 1/2 to a gig of ram and spend $200-250 on a half decent Athlon mobo/cpu (I'm sure that you can scrounge an old hdd & p-supply at the school) to build a dedicate machine.

our dept is signed up for MSDNAA, so we have free 2k3 servers up to wazoo, but I was trying to do this with minimal disruption to the existing nice machine.

I clearly remember there was this program that allows you to run TS-like capability on xp pro, i installed the demo and it worked very well, i just forgot what it was
