*FIXED* DSL prob with my KD7-RAID..... please help me find the setting that's off!

Hiya guys (gals?)...

Just got my Abit KD7-Raid in the other day.... got it installed, fresh win98se install, and all drivers in.......

this board has built in networking, so for now at least I'm gonna use it..... installed the networking hardware drives and all no problem... I can surf our LAN no problem..... BUT, when I try to hit the net (via IE) it searches and cannot find any sites. We have DSL and a DLink router, both of which are working fine, but even though I configured IE for LAN, I can't get on. I'm sure I'm just missing a small setting somewhere. I went to Network Neighborhood and set everything as well as setting up IE. Any suggestions as to what I'm missing? Seems that I remember having the exact same problem with my last ECS mobo.

I really don't want to have to put in a NIC just yet....... but what is messing up my precious DSL connection? (oh.... the router handles our logins and all, so it's not that I'm failing to connect manually....)

Make sure it is enabled in the bios but it seems like it should be if you can surf the lan. How do you have your internet connection configured?

fixed it! router reset was necessary.......


told you it was something simple!
