Fixed Crackling Sound on KT7A-Raid under XP

Finally fixed it.. using the .1019 Highpoint controller drivers.

everything seems fine...except now XP recovers from a serious error everytime I boot...
doesn't seem to effect anything... I close the window and go on.. with clear sound.

but it bothers me... anyone else been thru all this?

I'm using the .0402 highpoint bios.. latest official from abit..

if anyone decides to try this, make sure you update both the hpt3xx.sys and the rcm.inf(highpoint rcm device is under system devices)

Yeah, I had this same problem in Win2k and in XP. I'm pretty sure it's just an issue w/ the high-point drivers since switching them always fixes the problem.

and what combination of bios ver. vs driver ver. are you using?
