I did not read the entire post but........
Seen someone say "Guns are not the problem, People are the problem". I could not agree with this more!!!!!!!! I am an avid deer hunter and shoot 3 or 4 deer a year for the meat and do my own home processing. This does nothing but give the anti-hunter groups more fuel for their altered take on reality. A VERY VERY SAD DAY 🙁

The Hmong people were known to aid the enemy (US), therefore many flee after the US left Vietnam. And, the one that stayed have a very difficult life?they aren?t recognize by any nation and have very little/no opportunity in life.
I highly doubt that the guy was VC. And clearly this guy's actions does not reflect the actions of the entire ethnic populace. For those interested in their role in the Vietnam War, I suggest you read Shadow War and Tragic Mountain.

The Hmong people helped out in Laos and Cambodia. None were ever in Vietnam. Most all of them were helping out the Special Forces and Air America in the Mountains. There are many of them being "detained" right now in Thailand, and the U.S. is trying to help bring them over as war refugees.
Funny, I saw a few Hmong villages when I was traveling to the hill tribes in North Vietnam (1993).
