Meaning in chalmers' opinion that when the footlongs were more than $5 they were extremely overpriced, as opposed to being only moderately overpriced as they are now.
 
I miss the 2 footlongs for $6.99 after 4pm from subway .... 1 Subway footlong leaves me still hungry ... if I get 2, I can eat 1 and 1/2, and then have a 6 incher for a snack later on ...

Watch the one called Choir. You have seen it maybe? A full gospel choir in blue robes. Look at the, well, I think it is a, well I am not sure... second from the right, back row. Scary. Just off the set from "Bride of Frankenstein, the Remake"?

This. I NEVER understood everyone's fascination with Subway. The sandwiches all taste very... bland to me.
 
Those commercials have nothing on the "SAVED BY ZERO" Toyota campaign. I had to mute my TV when that atrocity to humanity came on.

any sammich is only as good as the ingredients. when there is more lettuce and bread than anything else, sure it will taste bland as hell. i get double meat and cheese, put bell peppers and black olives on it and a healthy amount of chipolte sauce on it. makes the sammich tasty.

but i could do the same at any sub shop, not just subway. for a good sammich without changing anything, i like schlotzkies original turkey.
 
Subway only charged me $4.50 for my foot-long last night. Wassup wid dat? Will wonders never cease?

It was roast beef, FWIW ...


Haven't heard the commercial mentioned by the OP, but then my exposure to tv and radio is limited.
