I'm interested in buying a pair for commuting to back and forth to work everyday (it's over 700 steps from my train to my job), but am not sure if I want to invest $50-70 on flip flops. Any reviews?

Still a thong sandal.

Get a pair of birkenstocks from footprints.com instead. They have many sale items for $60 to $70. And they're nicely made and will last you years.

I love flip-flops, I can't imagine summer without them, they're a staple of good weather, and go with literally anything. I bought a semi-expensive pair of doc marten flip-flops, they're casual and not "beachy", PIC: Flip I will never ever spend another summer without them.

Just make sure you get a pair that fits and the first week or two you may experience in-between-toe pain but it won't take long for that to go away.

everyone kept saying this, i got a pair about a year ago- maybe a little longer- to replace my old birkenstocks, which were the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn... got them in 1998 and had them resoled once. Anyways, the tevas fit strange and couldn't get used to them long enough to break them in. just ordered another pair of birks since it was about as expensive as repairing the pair i have.

another vote for lesbian shoes.

That would require them to actually read rather than glance and assume they know all.
