Fishing with your bare hands

Not all fish are equally slippery. Grabbing catfish might be a little tough unless you're noodling. I don't think carp are as slippery.

lol, I happened upon this noodling video

inspired by borat ?

Maybe.
I couldn't stop laughing at the dwarf's "Hell Yeah" looped at the end with the catfish mouth opening/closing.

Edit: One of the YT comments is "wanderlust was in 2003. Way before Borat"

It looks like Borat in the series was on before 2003, but the movie wasn't around yet...
So, who knows...

Maybe in North America, but in many parts of the world, epecially asia, it's consitered a delicasy.

Milkfish/Catfish/Carp/Trout>>>>>>>>>>Tilapia

Tilapia is trash fish.

Theres that video of the Mississippi River ( I think it was at least ) with the guys in boats getting hit by ~1' asian carp flying through the air. Jumpin' in from the water right into the boat.

And a sport fish in Europe. They have carp tourneys, just like we do for bass.

If you are trying to capture catfish, be aware of your local variety. Some catfish have sharp spiny fins that can slash your hands.
