Guys, I've always worried about getting the hook caught somewhere... but out of all places, the eye has got to be the worst.

curious...would he even feel pain in the eye? it doesnt seem like theres any nerves on the front of the eye for pain to register. of course we can feel things on our eye, but thats when we blink.

There's a reason I wear sunglasses regardless of the weather while fishing. I haven't clicked the link, but I'd imagine it's a graphic of exactly that reason. They may not be foolproof protection, but chances are they'll save my eyes.
