Holy fart. I am never going fishing again.
Thou when I was 11 or 12 I cast a line and the hook got my grandpa in the back.

Nice. I've always been worried about that when fishing. Not so much that I would do it, but someone else would do it to me without me being able to do anything about it.

curious...would he even feel pain in the eye? it doesnt seem like theres any nerves on the front of the eye for pain to register. of course we can feel things on our eye, but thats when we blink.

Yeah, gotta worry about those around you more than yourself when fishing.

I've been hooked in my leg before and that wasn't fun.

There's a reason I wear sunglasses regardless of the weather while fishing. I haven't clicked the link, but I'd imagine it's a graphic of exactly that reason. They may not be foolproof protection, but chances are they'll save my eyes.
