FirstNight in Boston

Anyone here ever been to the First Night event in Boston? the countdown till midnight is at Copley Square. But the Firework celebration is at Boston Harbor near the NE Aqurarium. Will you be able to see teh fireworks from Copley Square? Seems kind of far from the countdown, don't you think?

no you wont be able to see them from copley. you might need to be closer to the but definitely need to be at quincy market.

That sucks....wouldn't it make more sense to have the coundown with the fireworks? It would have made much more sense to have fireworks on the Chrles River......Oh Well....Countdown or Fireworks....have to pick one.....

Oh, and buying the pin...is that only admission to the indoor stuff at Hynes?

No. A lot of events are at the convention center, but there are shows scattered throughout Boston that you can only get into with a pin. If you are interested in seeing anything beyond the ice sculptures, countdown, and fireworks, you need a pin.

hmmmm....i wonder if the $15 pin is worth it....

Just found out that their will be fireworks at 7PM at Copley.....hmmmmmmm...feels kind of weird since it will not be new years yet

$15 for admittance is great in LA, that wont even get you a drink.
