I think he has more legos than that, they just wouldn't fit in the trunk of that GT-R.

That GTR trunk is way deeper than it looks. It can take a lot of storage.

However, I can get more into my IS-F:

Now I regret not taking pics of my more outrageous purchases.

I do?

An extensive history consisting of one Nintendo DS in approximately 7 or so years? One post about a child not understanding that a serial number sticker might eventually be crucial to the well being of the device? And somehow you equate that with an established history of purchasing expensive items?

Tell me more Dr. Phil. This is getting amusing. I'm still waiting for the part where you've proven yourself right.

I think his mom hit him too hard with her croc before he posted.

I don't have to prove anything, nor can I. You're the one complaining about a spoiled child when you purchase expensive gifts for him to this day. If you want to negate your image of being a helpless push-over, you should demonstrate what you've done to try and fix the problem.

Is this the same house that people laugh at you about because it was foreclosed on? Forgive me, I'm trying to keep up with all the nonsense floating around your threads.

Umm. I am being foreclosed on because the mortgage company never applied my payments.

I never missed one or was late for one for 3+years. They caused my credit cards (two which were fixed rate at low single digits and carried high 5 figure credit lines) to go to max interest rates (and I was never late or missed a payment with those either, my payments were 3x the minimum at the very least most I paid off each month).

It's a win-win situation for me because I was paying them properly, my house was worth less than half and they reported I owed them $50k more than I started with.

You laugh because sadly you don't understand what's going on with our country.

Give yourself a fist to the chest and get back to doing your chores.

Nope, just here. And I'm just messing with you. Figured if you were going to be at my Mom's, she needed a couple of things done.😛

From your recent posts, you sound like a fellow in a good place.

Actually SC is where I took them from. 😉

I apologize if I miss sarcasm vs all of the haters above just trying to make me cry each day.

None of those things were free. They were all paid for by someone. Scholarships to public schools are usually paid with public funds or perhaps private scholarships (the money from which had to be earned by someone). Private schools have endowments which, again, are paid for by someone. I too got a "free-ride" at the expense of the tax payers.

I'm not sure why you threw the house in there, I'm assuming you worked and earned that money. If not, someone along the line did.

I didn't qualify for any scholarships. My parents at the time made too much money (based on their prior year and both at the time were in the hospital. My dad had a heart attack after losing his job in a mass layoff doing nothing wrong and my mom contracted lung cancer and lost most of one lung).

I had savings since my dad encouraged me to work and I did.

When I say college cost me $7k the first time that was just the Stafford loans I could get part subsidized and most unsubsidized.

My free-ride was minor.

Then what was your issue with me saying there was no such thing as a free lunch?

I like you. You're entertaining, Hamburglar. Robble Robble!

...

Oh, and Alky... you realize you can fucking quote MULTIPLE GOD DAMN POSTS in a single reply, right? Quit fucking spamming threads, prick.

Why do you buy these? Retirement plan or some kind of medical condition?

I'd like to know more about madoka's lego addiction. What are the cashiers or managers like when you head to the register with 3 buggies full of legos?

It's almost like a hording obsession... except with cool shit instead.

And:

1) I won't ask for any legos... I've got enough.
2) Just send me a PS3. 🙂

Having lots of legos is one thing... Having hundreds of duplcates of the same exact set... Must be a reseller or something.

Wouldn't question an entire dump truck of legos if they weren't all the same exact sets.

HAH!! exactly the same here.. I have been eyeballing the X-wing for at least a decade and that one is only ~$70

I got the x-wing and Tie fighter. They were on clearance for like $20 each at Walmart.

I been wanting them for years but no way in hell am i paying $60 for them. They sit on top of my desk. Every now and then me and my kids will take them down and have wars.

My son has a few thousand lego's they do still sell the kit with just blocks. last year he got 3 sets of 2000 in it. I also built him a table (its falling apart. didn't expect him to play on it as much as he does) with 6 12x12 land parts.

he has issues with paying attention. but will sit at the lego table for hours building stuff.

Item #1 - A new 3DS XL ($200)
Item #2 - Some $200 lego set
Item #3 - Some $120 lego set

Spoiled much?

Oh, and he also wants to have a party after the school year starts so he can invite over some classmates (1st year at a new school, trying to make some friends I guess) which my wife priced out whatever it is he wants to do at "a couple hundred dollars.

My son has absolutely no concept of fiscal management, despite me trying to teach him for the past several years.

Oh, yeah, and he'll be 14 next week.

none of those are bad. well unless you are on welfare.

I was never able to get into that mindset.

tbh, I hate when people spend money on me... a few years ago, I proposed to my family that the adults stop giving eachother gifts and we just spend the money on the kids, but no one agreed 🙁

I'm still feeling guilty that my SO got me a Kindle for my birthday last week.

How else would I ever replicate the Emperor's Arrival scene if I didn't get a bunch of the same set?

And for the record, I don't resell Lego or anything else. Given the nature of my job and how much I get paid, it would actually cost me money to spend time trying to sell my stuff.

They are surprisingly helpful. I remember one time I bought about $5000 worth of Lego at Target. The manager had two stock boys bring out the the sets on flatbed trolleys and they helped me load up my car. Since my car couldn't hold that much, we spent almost an hour deboxing everything and packing the car with just the baggies. Towards the end, the only way to fit more was to roll down the windows slightly and smash more baggies into the car. I remember how nervous I was to drive home that night since I was buried in Lego as I drove. Literally, it was on my lap, in the footwell by the brakes/accelerator, covered the shifter, etc. I sincerely regret not taking a picture of that one.

BTW, to put how much Lego I have into context, I have over 40,000 minifigs.
