Anyone remeber a text only game that was like a cave / dungun thing and you could use flares to light up a 3x3 grid and you looked for treasure that was called "T"

It was called Rogue

still play it using MAME on my current PC

I still have an old 8088 that has it on 5.25 inch floppy

I think it was Combat. The one that came with the original Atari 2600.

I do remember playing a full out Pong console game of some sort (one that did nothing, but pong) but I think that was actually after I had played on an Atari.

I have NO idea what the game was, but I'd really like to find it... It was on the IBM PC Jr., and you were supposed to go on a mission in a hot air balloon, collecting items and trading with villages along the way... You end up out in the desert, and there were supposed to be mountains after that, but the machine was so slow I never got that far...

Anyone have a clue which game I'm talking about?

Others I remember quite well were Oregon Trail (Apple IIe's rock!), Mr. Do for the Colecovision, and Wolfenstein 3D (could only play for half an hour before I got a splitting headache from the 3D scrolling... :))

Sonic 1. Oh by the way Sonic spinball changed my life at 5, it wasn't the visuals but the sound(the heave electric sound). Scared the crap out of me!!! But I still played it :D. I never beat the last boss though.

:) I remember it like it was 21 years ago...I was 5 yrs old and could barely reach the controls to the Donkey Kong coin-op. *Sniff sniff*...good times, good times...

Then on a trip to see relatives in Dallas, I got to play asteroids on their computer. Man, who here remembers green and black screens?

Bouncing Babies.... babies were thrown out of a burning building and you controlled firemen holding a trampoline at the ground level and you had to bounce them away from the building and into a truck or something.

I had a ColecoVision back in the day. I vaugely remember playing Asteroids, Missle Command, and some Star Wars game where I controlled the Millenium Falcon and had to blow up the Death Star. And I can't forget the original 2D Wolfenstein on PC. Achtung! Pop, pop! Ahhh, those were the days...........
