The spec:
athlon xp 2000+
asus a7v8x
pc 2700 512 mb ddr
wd 80gb HD 8mb buffer
leadtek gf4 ti4200 128mb
antec 835II case (includes 350w power supply)
So here's the thing, I put together the computer around last thursday. When i finally have everything together, I turn it on for the first time, and unfortuneatly, nothing shows up on display and the sound keeps on repeating: "system fails cpu test". So I took it back to the reseller and they tested out the cpu for me. It turns out the cpu is dead for some reason. Soo, I sent the cpu back to amd and today I finally got a new replacement from amd. Well, I quickly put together everything with the new cpu, but so very unfortunetly, it still says "system fails cpu test" when i turn on the comp again. I am really, really frustrated right now, especially since I need the comp rdy in a few days. I'm going to take the system back to the reseller tomorrow and see what they can do...
you guys have any suggestions?
