first time new build won't boot.

Coolermaster hyper 212 plus

Just finished putting everything together but when i turn it on i get no signal on the monitor and a loud continuous beep/whine. The num lock light on the keyboard ights up all fans run and all four cpu load leds light up on the mobo.

i thought it might be a fan whining so i disconnected them all and turned on but it's still there, could be the psu but it sounds more like it's coming from the mobo.

any ideas?

What PSU do you have? Have you doble checked all your connections?

You're trying to do too much at once. Do a minimal install outside the box with just the CPU, GPU and, one stick of ram. Make sure the ram is in the proper slot for that configuration. If no joy, try another stick of ram. Check your case connections to make sure they are properly oriented for pin one. Read the manual.

ok, i took the graphics card out and fired it up, the whine/beep has stopped so that seems to be the issue.

there are two 6 pin power sockets on this card (radeon 5850) would you know off the top of your head if they both need power?
