First Time Multiplayer experience

I've only seen one cheater in COD4. Some guy had god mode on or something. It was on a 24/7 shipment dm server. This guy was just sitting in the corner next to a spawn knifing people. He was like 220 and 0.

Are those servers strictly for boosting stats or what? It seems pretty much impossible to actually play a real game on the ones with a larger number of players. Spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, move five steps, shoot someone, die, repeat.

Also, for a n00b, I would recommend finding a server that disallows bunny hopping and abuse of prone. I prefer those servers anyway (also good if Martyr is disallowed)

They're for leveling/unlocking stuff. It's not a bad way to learn how to fire from the hip either.

I had a feeling people in Public Servers were botting. I paid my dues for about two months getting decent kills but dying alot more, and I consider myself a good player but some guys could walk around a corner with me off at an angle and kill me in 1 shot from an SMG that always seemed to hit.

The most annoying thing now is when someone jumps in a circle around you shooting or trying to stab you. It's an FPS game, not a Limp Bizkit concert.

Yeah, that's what I figured... I used it to fill out some of my weapon challenges.
