The new aberdeen centre is open but very empty right now so no point in going their

If you're on the North Shore, consider driving up to Cypress Hill... there are some nice vantage points up there with a great view of Vancouver :beer:

Man, thinking about all these places makes me realize, I MISS VANCOUVER! :brokenheart:

That's where my wife grew up...we visit there every year, though Buchart Gardens gets old after a couple times. :)

Definately check out Granville St. Although I'm sure there are many others, I went to the Smoke Signals Cafe while in town and it was great. As someone else said, hockey night is an interesting event for foreigners because the whole city unites behind the team. Strangers will talk like old friends when it is about hockey, and every time a goal is scored you'll know because cheers and honks will be heard throughout the city. After the Canucks win everyone pours onto the street and yells random stuff.

Too bad we will have to wait until next season for that again.... :(
