First time gaming build - Sabertooth?

These are the components that I'm thinking of getting, still unsure about the mobo though. Longterm stability is important to me.

Will all the components play nice together?

CPU - Core i5-2500K Quad-Core LGA1155 3.3GHz
MOBO - Asus Sabertooth P67 LGA1155 DDR3 SLI/CrossFire
GPU - 2 x Gigabyte gtx560 SOC (950mhz) in SLI
PSU - Corsair HX750 , Eps12V + Modular cable management , ATX 12V V2.3 - 750w
RAM - Mushkin 1333MHz DDR3 4GB Silverline Low-Voltage Dual Channel 2x2GB Kit - CL 9-9-9-24, 1.5 Volts, Stiletto™ Heatsink, Lifetime Warranty
CPU COOLER - Thermalright Archon
CASE - Corsair CC600TWM-WHT graphite 600T White edition , with windowed side panel ( meshed + windowed both included )
HD - Western Digital WD6402AAEX Caviar Black 640GB SATA3 7200rpm
 
considering the 5 year warranty it offers, i would suppose the sabertooth will be great since it looks like you haven't taken easy on single items, although i would suggest looking at other mobo for features that sabertooth might not have and you might need.

sorry for this, but in your build everything looks great except the RAM and HD, i would suggest getting least two HD for raid system which will be better if not the SSD. and considering you are getting sabertooth, get least 1600 ram which might be better suite for you at this point than 1333 ram.

These corsair aren't on the mobo QVL unfortunately

The warranty is region specific, I think its 3 years over here.
I'm gonna save up & get another harddisk later.

If you have any doubts about the GPU's, you might wanna consider unlocked / Oc'd 6950's - while that lasts.

Also, 4 gigs of RAM for a new setup ? my e6600 has 4 gigs of ram .. if you want your setup to last a while, get at least a bit more.

Already have a gtx560.
Will I notice a difference between 4 and 8 gigs?
Will the following ram work even though it's not on the mobo QVL?

Yes, you will notice a difference, maybe not today, maybe not with any workload, but in a year or two yes. Also it's a matter of 'scale' --> you go for a recent CPU that has quite some potential, so why pair it with the minimum amount of RAM I'd have advised 2 years ago.

I don't know what your QVL is and I don't care, if you don't find any posts about issues when you google "mbname"+" "+"ramname" then you're good to go.

that mem should work. I know on my sabertooth(x58) there is a memOK button that when pressed will automatically adjust the setting until it boots.

I just checked and the p67 sabertooth has the same button so you should be ok.

for gaming you don't need more than 4gb RAM, and you wont for quite a while to come...

For gaming, we have been used to not needing more than 4Gb of RAM, because most of the current games were all designed for failed Windows 32bit Os's.

But, more and more people are getting the now decent Windows 64bit Os's and as that barrier goes away, games will take advantage of the increased performance potential.

And this is ever more likely to happen, especially when your GPU's can eat up most of your 32bit addressing space nowadays.

There was a barrier, it's slowly dissolving (many of the gamers have 64bit OS's now) and when it's gone you don't want your config to become useless.
 
Well, I could just get another 2 sticks later on if I need to.

Will that have the proper screwdrivers that I'll need to put everthing together?
I don't want to start building and discover that I don't have the proper size screwdriver.
 
To answer your OP... I like my sabertooth thus far. However I like most motherboards that don't give me any problems (and this one did not). I have to admit, I'm a sucker for the clean look that the "thermal armor" provides. I'm also always worried that I'm going to drop something on the motherboard (think screw driver) when I work on a computer... not a problem with this one haha!

It does look sleek & clean, but when I first saw it I got a picture in my head of melted plastic coming out of my case.

Hmm, I thought that the ram would get cheaper. Maybe I'll just get the 8 gigs then.
 
I got the Sabertooth for the 5 year warranty and cause it just looks UBER COOL!
