just remember..while the silver amount should be neglible to be conductive , it might conduct electricity if you get it where it doesn't belong..as N said, just put a dab..don't feel like you have to cover the whole processor, and you'll be fine🙂
 
Whew, I was being super careful so hopefully everything is together correctly, it looks good to me. Everything else is looking good except for one kind of important issue which I am posting about in computer help.
 
If you do happen to get thermal paste on the underside of the CPU, which is very unlikely, it's not the end of the world. Just clean it like you would if it were on the other side, with a bit more care and making sure that absolutely all traces of it are gone.
