yes and no.
some people are not comfortable overclocking... and with the current xp2500+ cpu's its no guarantee it will be able to run stable at the higher clock speed (most will, but not all)

A64 3200+ is not a waste of money because it will beat Barton XP mobile 2500+ at gaming and many applications.

AXP 3200+ is a waste of money because a) you can get Axp 2500+ to probably do 200FSB b) get the mobile which retails for $140 in Canada which will destroy any XP derivative
