I don't use Youtube as a jukebox, but here's a song I've been liking lately...

Postmodern Jukebox is my favorite new music discovery. They're the first band I've been excited about in awhile.

Nice, had not heard that one from PMJ, of course I have to include their outstanding version of "royals" featuring "Puddles the pity clown"..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBmCJEehYtU
And my fav guitar player with this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGTcMhT5rro

I hate John Cougar Mellencamp. Hate. Hate. Hate.

Anyway, YouTube shits all over music quality. It's sad. :(

For the most part, yes, but not as bad a s Satellite radio, I dumped XM years ago due to their crappy compression and how bad it sounded even on a stock GM sound system. I wasn't expecting CD quality bit the flanging effects, muddy bass and lack of high frequencies all amounted to a sonic pile of shit.

Yeah, can't youtube get up to 192kbps depending on quality setting? That's decent enough to share and get a feel for/decide if you like it enough to find a good version. It's not like anybody uses youtube to actually "listen" to music. Even if somebody wanted to, without being able to make a playlist it would be terribly annoying to type in and search for each song you wanted to listen to.
