With a bit of help on a previous post, here it is.

Kingwin 424
AMD 64 3000+
K8V [754]
GEIL 512x2 DDR PC- 4000
X800 PRO
74 Gig Raptor
Antec 550 PS [Too much?]
Nu Tech 8x +/- [The latest roundup winner]
Copper Thermalright
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy [GAMER]
MX 700

Everything listed is from newegg cept the MX700 [Seeing as its $20 cheaper on amazon, sorry Newegg]

The main restriction is that I don't want to spend over 2 on it..That setup is just shy of $1800.

And one last noobish question for the night. Anything I'm missing? Would be a bummer to get it all here and realize i forgot something. Hell I might not realize it all. :D

Thanks again
:)

You have a suitable monitor and keyboard already, right? :) How about a fan for your Thermalright too.

a fan for the thermalright is not completely necessary. A friend and I used a slk-900 with a ducting mod to one of two 120m intakes at 5v and it ran a little warm but never broke 65 at full load.

I think you might be able to get an Antec 480w PS but that won't save that much $ anyways. So unless you really want to trim some costs, stick with the 550.

Also, are you planning on OCing this rig?

Looks like a beast, good luck with it :D

I woudl suggest any good fan to be honest. there are lots. it depends on what you want. teh most versatile I would have to say are the tornado's and the smart case fan 2's. they are the most adjustable. there are also some other good fans such as teh aluminum ones from frozen cpu. teh 120mm of that series is awesome, my favorite 129mm fan, the 92 is good but the 80 is not. if you are looking to oc eventually I should have to suggest a tornado or scf2.

I'd get ADATA Vitesta PC4000 instead of that GeIL. While I can't be bothered to check prices right now, it's probably significantly cheaper, seeing as it's the same price as many companies' value RAM. Not to mention GeIL's not exactly perfect reputation. On the other hand, I've heard nothing but good things about the ADATAs on various forums, most people can get them up to 270-80.
Also, you may or may not want to wait for the MSI K8N Neos to show up at retail (depending on how sick you are of waiting), /should/ be here Real Soon Now.

That power supply is definately overkill... but if you're willing to spend the money, go ahead. It has adjustable voltage rails so when you get everything installed, if for example, the 12 volt rail is reading 11.4... you could tweak it so it's right at 12.0. Also having a power supply with that much capacity leaves room for pleanty of upgrades.

Personally, if I was buying a PSU with the intent to have a futureproof one (and I could afford it), I'd go with a PC Power and Cooling unit. They're very expensive, but arguably the best power supply you can get your hands on.
