It'll work. The memory is faster than needed, and the mobo has no USB 3.0. But I see you addressed the USB 3.0 issue; otherwise, it's not worth saving $6 on the RAM.
Thanks Ken. Yeah, USB 3.0 isn't important to me as long as I can get a card to add it later. I remember adding USB 2.0 via a card many moons ago. I can't think of anything I'd NEED USB 3 for. Mouse? Keyboard? Printer/scanner? All work fine. External storage would be helped, but that's not a priority for me.
Edited to add:
The motherboard I picked had more total USB connections, and had GFX-out if I wanted to use the on-chip gfx at some point (maybe it's better than my current card, maybe if a card died and I needed something short-term) then the one with USB 3.0. 3.0 will be big one day, but I just bought a printer/scanner, and I'm not in the market for any other new USB devices in the near future. Plus, I heard that the motherboards with 3.0 might not have it right, so to speak. As long as I can get 3.0 in a board later, I'm good. I have all those expansion slots!
