Forget about Cleveland or Miami. Your the GM of an NBA team and have seen both of their performances through the 2006 season. Which player do you take and why?

For me it would be a difficult decision, as I am already biased because I'm a Heat fan. Lebron is just a beast, a monster on the offensive end and has unlimited potential. But Wade has the heart of a Champion, his outside game is improving and he is one of the few players in the league that can take over a game and WILL victory. Because of that, and his court vision, I would take Wade..

NO FLAMES allowed and please no, "But Wade has Shaq" arguments. Lets judge them both on individual talent and on looking at what they can down down the line.

I take Darko Milicic.... 😀

Wade is very impressive but so is king james. From the standpoint of franchise - I'd go with lebron. I'd have to have a better idea about what the rest of my team would be like to decide i guess.

They're both becoming very amazing players (dare I say 2nd coming of MJ?), but I find that Lebron is more fun to watch.

There was a LBJ vs Wade thread the other day.

I still say Lebron. He's more consistent. He has a better basketball IQ. I believe he'll have a longer career...Wade just sacrafices his body FAR too often and that'll hurt him as he ages a bit. I think Lebron is just a better player to build a team around.

That being said, Wade is much better one on one player and has far more flash & dazzle athletic talent. Lebron is just incredibly strong and can finish plays with his power.

Lebron...no brainer there. Just think about it if Bron was playin with the Heat in the finals right now and not Wade.

LBJ, then DWade, Carmelo comes in a distant 3rd

I'd rather have Bosh than Carmelo.

i think melo has an attitude problem. maybe that's just me. otherwise i think he's a great player

LeBron, due to his size, versatility (could play PG, SG, SF), youth, and his court vision.

D Wade is awesome too, but LeBron gets my vote.

Even though I don't think its as clear cut as everyone else seems to be here...I would still take Lebron

I am even a little biased fan of DWade (coming out of Marquette) and he has amazing ability
and just one hell of a passion for the game....he never gives up.

I also don't really think having Shaq is making him all that much better, I mean he is out there outshining
Shaq all season

Despite this, I still voted Lebron, because he seems like he has the potential to be one of the greatest of all
time

you have to give points to wade for singlehandedly taking on dallas on a few occasions when miami is down double digits (esp. gmae 3)

edit: insert your kobe comparisons here

Don't even think its an attitude issue...bosh is just a better player with more upside IMO.

1.LBJ
2.Bosh
3.Wade
4.Melo

LBJ is still the best out of the 4 and the most verstaile.I'd take a bigman like Bosh over a 2-guard like Wade anyday. And Melo...well he's just a solid player but not better compared to the other 3.

bosh just isnt getting the attention and coverage being boarded up there in Canada.

who cares? you wouldnt have made a bad choice with either. so far both of them are doing great. Lebron maybe the better athlete but Wade has amazing heart and attitude.

LeBron. The court vision and marketting potential are what would sell me on LeBron. But anyone who would take someone above wade as #2 is deluded and/or clinically insane.

What is disturbing to me is that(even though both are great players) both of them get so many damm calls.
It was funny watching the game last night with dallas leading by 1 and 9 secs left.
I told everyone that Wade will drive to the basket and get fouled.
You can't even try to play good defense anymore.
You touch the hair on one of these guys and its a foul.
