First pic of Scarlett from GI Joe movie

We got a first look at Ray Park as Snake Eyes here. Now we get our first glimpse of Scarlett. bbzzdd link (thanks Captain Goodnight)

Not a fan of the all black. Not saying that Rachel Nichols doesn't look hot in that...I'm just tired of the all black look in movies. Especially when the character it was based on has some color in them.

Scarlett from the comic book

Let's face it - GI JOE was kind of a sausage party. That's why I took a particular liking to Scarlett. When I got tired of all those sweaty, muscular, mustachioed dudes running around in tight shirts, Scarlett was always there for me with a hot bod and that fiery ponytail. Not to mention how kick-ass she was with that crossbow. As if Hollywood were reading our mind, they've cast another favorite of ours - actress Rachel Nichols ("Alias," P2) - as Scarlett in the upcoming live-action GI JOE movie. We love Scarlett and we've got an uber crush on Rachel Nichols so we're all particularly excited to debut your very first look at Scarlett from GI JOE.

This is only the second official photo released from GI JOE (after USA Today revealed Snake Eyes) and we couldn't be happier to bring you this first look. Turns out Rachel couldn't be happier either. She's a big fan of JoBlo.com and actually sent a little message from the set along with the photo. Coolness? Definitely. Hotness? Absolutely. Somewhere 12-year-old me is very happy. Oh and for more hot pictures of Ms. Nichols out of her GI-gear, head on over to MovieHotties.com for their spread on the lovely missus.

I think it's a referral thing. You have the link in your cache already so you can get it from there.

Anyway, why do they always take the colors out of character's costumes when they make a movie? They did it with X-Men, Batman, and now this. It's like "you have to wear black or it won't look right".

I know part of the reason is that some directors don't think certain colors show up well on movie screens. Michael Bay changed Optimus Prime from primarily red to mostly blue with some red because he didn't think red was a good color on screens. But, at least Bay went with the option of choosing another color instead of going all black like in the movies you mentioned.

Still, it isn't like the colors in the comic version of Scarlett were garish or anything. It was a kind of tan and blue mix.

Rachel Nichols is beautiful, but I agree that the all-black is a bit odd.

all black is better suited for baroness. at least give scarlet some dark beige or tan on that outfit.
