Basically this simply proves one thing.

The fringe of each party is unreasonable and the fact that politicians don't have patience for these people ONCE they are in office.

What happened is that the "idiot left" doesn't live in reality. Just like the "idiot right" they don't understand that things don't work in Washington the way they dream about as they all sit around Starbucks sipping their latte's discussing world politics and how they could solve it all.


The liberals have to face reality, their congressmen are just like the conservative congressman, trapped in a system which doesn't work because neither side is there to do the job of the people but instead serve their own interest.

The best part is the smug gloating of the Faux News Commentators. Over what, I'm not sure, since even Obey's POV cuts Dubya's war off at the knees... and will obviously prevail, despite Dubya's veto threat.

It's unfortunate that compromises have to be made that will cost more lives, more money and more self respect to arrive at what's obviously necessary. I doubt they'll be gloating then.
