Question First PC build for 3D Modeling and Gaming, any feedback is highly appreciated!

Will probably be pulling the plug in a few hours to take advantage of deals but this is my first build and so I am super anxious about making a mistake. Especially when it comes to the case, as I'm having a hard time figuring out what is too big or too small... Thank you for your time!

Looks fine.

Case size is a personal preference. PCP will tell you and filter based on other pieces to prevent you from selecting too small of a case. Or inversely shows you only boards that fit a specific case if you choose it first.

What I would do is click on the GPU and then scroll to the reviews and see what other people use for cases to see if there's a thermal issue.

Do you need Nvidia? That graphics card seems like a "miss" (non- Super for $560?). Couple options here:

I did just that in…2011? Built a PC with an i5-760 CPU…less than 30 days before Ivy Bridge came out…of course, with all the problems everyone was having with the cougar point chipset…I wasn’t too disappointed that I didn’t wait.

OP was probably trying to get good deals on Prime Day. As of today, I would wait too but the 9600X will most likely cost $120 more for ~ 12% IPC uplift.

That's average uplift. In many cases, the uplift could be more than 20%. And if it's used on Linux, the sky's the limit. It's going to be AMD's Fine Wine CPU architecture.
