First overclock

Hi guys

well i got my asrock dual sata2 , athlon 3700 939 and 1gb of crosair xms 3200 memory , iv never realy got into overclocking but thought i would give it a go

here's a picy of what i got

2.5 GHZ

Im happy with that but if you think i could get more im willing to try lol , temps are around the 38/40 mark with the stock amd heatsink and fan .

Nice O/C! That chip will probably go much higher (my 3700+ does 2.8ghz) if you use a memory divider.

My settings

252x11=2805mhz vcore 1.55v

166 mem divider = ram at 208mhz DDR416

what do u think i could get with the vcore at 1.45?? I'm not going to volt mod the board to get it higher ..

I'm not clued up on the mem divider tbh has anyone got a link to a dummies guide??

what board do you have?

Most boards call it "memory clock" or "memory frequency" and the settings are usually
200,166,133,100

Go there to learn all about memory, dividers included I'm pretty sure. It really helped me out when I started overclocking.
