The car is a performance car. Have you driven a Lotus? It's been a lame argument against the Vette for a while now just people want something to b!tch about IMHO. It was the best performance car for the money, hands-down.

GM has improved their interiors across the board and it makes sense it would go here as well. It's certainly nice, but I would take the new car with the old interior any day. This is a bonus...

I do agree that the higher-trim Vettes deserved better interiors. Chevy has done a good job in keeping most of the performance items standard for all Vette trims, and the interior will at least now be acceptable in the Z and ZR trims.

Yes, I've driven a Lotus. A little leather, some carpet, aluminum (not exactly a cheap material to make interiors out of but it is lightweight), and plastic.

I really don't think you can compare the two. The Corvette tries to be a modern production car with the usual amenities. The Lotus does not. It is not a particularly comfortable place to be, it makes a great track day car and it is a great drivers car. It is not a great daily driver.

so, are you bitching about the C7 interior, or the C6?

also, as for the vents, this is a great image that shows how the vents work

I'm bitching about the guy who bitched about me bitching about the old Vette's interior. :sneaky:

I'm not bitching about the new Vette's interior because I haven't seen it yet. Looks decent so far but I'll reserve final judgment until I see it person.

LOL! No, I don't have any idea who this guy is. Just responding to his comment. It is pretty common knowledge that I'm a big fan of the Lotus Elise so that drew my attention. Maybe he's a bot? 😀

i've sat in, but never driven the lotus.

at 6'3, I could never fathom purchasing one as I want to be able to get in and out in under 30 seconds without folding like a pretzel
