Tiny little magazine scans so you can't really see much, but it looks pretty good from what I can tell.

Not only does the game feature plenty o guns and swords, but if you twist the controller in your hand you can actually look like a total jackass in the game and shoot ?gangsta-style.? You can also use the controller to take cover behind objects by moving the remote toward the screen and reload your gun by pulling back.

Heh.

Not bad at all. Heck, if the Gamecube can pull of RE4 graphics, which was the best looking game on all platforms at the time, then the Revolution 's graphic capabilities will be fine with me!

I like how some people act like hardware experts because they know how to read which number is bigger. Me? I'm going to be waiting to see screenshots before I make ridiculous claims about hardware I really know nothing about.

youre not expecting it to be fun because the graphics wont be the best on the planet?

im looking forward to it because of the controller and new range of games it will allow. i wont buy it right away, but ill wait a few weeks and see what users say and see if i want one, but it looks interesting

until then, i got a gamecube last christmas, finally, and ill enjoy that for quite a while, im sure.

Personally for me, I have yet to see anything that impresses me about the Revolution. As time goes on, it only seems to lower my expectations.

If the specs I saw are the real final specs, then they had better be selling that thing for $100, otherwise I'm going to feel like I got gipped on just the hardware alone. Yeah there will be good games, but who knows how long before a trully great one worth buying the system for.

As for playing old games, I can do that now. Hopefully the prices I was seeing for the ROMs on Nintendo's download service don't hold, as they were too pricey in my opinion. This is not a selling point at all for me as of now. It like iTunes, only much more expensive.

Nintendo has not impressed me at all with their online play either.

And then of course we have the controller, which does nothing for me. Sure its a new idea, but that doesn't immediately make it a good one. So far it looks a little gimmicky and will make anyone using it feel foolish, but it could end up being great.

Couple that with the fact that even Nintendo's first party titles have not been wowing me for some time (Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda Wind Waker, and then Metroid Prime 2), and I just don't get excited about the system.

I'm not saying that the 360 or PS3 is necessarily any better, as neither of them yet has what I'd call a killer app for their system (all the really good Xbox360 games are going to PC, unless they're racers, in which case, I'll wait for more polished versions of them), but I'd at least think about picking one of them up in the future.

Dude, that's the GameCube!
PS2 was worst of last gen, hell, Sega couldn't even get Sonic Heroes to run on it without seriously toning down the sound and graphics. GameCube and XBOX really fought hard for 1st, its probably hard to declare a clear winner, but the XBOX had more games with awesome graphics than the GameCube did. Take all that into consideration, and then the fact that the Rev supposedly has 3 times the power of the GameCube. Running at 480i/480p, I don't think that'll be much of a problem. Nintendo just better not price this above $200.

I've owned every single Nintendo console since the NES and never once bought a console from any other company(although I did win a PS2 from McDonalds.. so that doesn't really count 🙂)... and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of those consoles. I'm sticking with Nintendo for the next gen as well because the Big N hasn't disappointed me yet..

In other words, I'm a Nintendo Fanboy and I'm damn proud of it 🙂!

The only reason for a new system is better graphics.

I think the Nintendo's biggest problem is lack of HDTV resolution. It really should be at least 720p if it's going to be their platform for the next few years.

I tend to agree... I mean, so most games won't be able to take advantage of it in the first year, maybe two years of the console, but what about in 3-5 years from now? HD capable TVs will be more common, and developers will be more accustomed to programming games for the Revolution. This progression happens with all recent consoles. Look at early N64 games to the ones at the end of its life. Look at early PS2 games, and look at the recent ones.
By limiting themselves today, they are only hurting themselves tomorrow.

That said, I still want one 😀
